Bajaj India incorporated some changes in the Bajaj New Pulsar 220 and gave it a facelift. The resultant bike Bajaj New Pulsar 220 F is considered as the fastest Indian bike in the market. The bike is also priced more competitively as compared to its rivals which include Karizma ZMR and Yamaha R15.

The Bajaj New Pulsar 220 F review indicates that the bike comes with a new 220cc carburetored engine which is oil cooled. This engine can deliver power of 21 bhp at 8500 rpm along with peak torque of 19Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine also sports some other changes and these include new combustion chamber, short skirt low friction piston in new design, new valve coat material that helps in eliminating carbon formation and new camshaft and larger oil cooler.

The bike has a 32 venturi carburettor and this is the largest one used in the country. Likewise the intake port within the cylinder head sports some modifications and has higher lift as well as duration cam. The bike also has large resonator as well as catalytic converter. The bike enjoys good startability due to temperature based ignition mapping feature.

The bike has 5 gears and double cradle down tube chassis type. The length of the bike is 2035 mm and its width is 750 mm while its height is 1165 mm. The bike has 130 mm telescopic front suspension and Nitrox with 90 mm travel rear suspension. The weight of the bike is 150 kgs and it has ground clearance of 165 mm. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 15 litres and its wheelbase is 1350 mm. The top speed of the bike is 144 km/hr.
